Fill In the Blank Friday!

  I'm home today with this sweet sick baby . I'm excited to be home, but sad little guy is sick!! I plan on catching up with one of my long time favorite soaps, Days of our lives, HAHA, you can totally watch it and know what has happened in the last 6 months!

1.   Winter is - Great! I really do like all the seasons, Winter because it snows, I LOVE snow, Its as if the whole world (city, town) shuts down and is quite ans still, its just so peaceful! Its also my birthday and Christmas!

2.  Summer is - Beautiful, Bright and a time to get together with friends for BBQ's , corn hole and lazy days by the pool. Its beach time, and 4th of July Fire Works! I love the constant source of vit D.

3.  If it were summer instead of winter right now I'd - I would be laying by the pool , and hanging out with great friends. Playing with Landon in the the backyard, or at the park, or maybe the beach!!

4.  My favorite thing to do in winter is - Hang out in my warm house probably on the couch watching movies or silly Lifetime, under a warm blanket. 

5.  My favorite thing to do in summer is-    Laying out by the pool, or playing in the pool with Landon, BBQ's with family, and my favorite is 4th Of July!!

6.  The ideal outfit for a sunny summer day is- Gosh so much, Shorts and a tank, or skirt and a tank, or a cute sundress and flip flops!       

7.  The ideal outfit for a frigid winter day is - Jeans and sweaters, coats and boots! I rarely wear a dress or skirt in the winter!

They are calling for more snow this weekend! Looking forward to being snowed in, and crossing my fingers that Jon doesn't get called in!

Sick Little Guy.... AGAIN!

Poor Landon is Sick again! 
He had such a rough night last night, he would wake up every hour, sometimes twice
screaming. Poor, poor guy, its just heart breaking. 
This is when I wish babies came with and owners manual, 
so you could just look the problem up and trouble shoot.
Jon took him to the Dr. this morning, he has an ear infection 
a cold and cold that has settled into his eyes. We are now armed
with an antibiotic and Tylenol and Motrin! 

Poor baby! He feels awful!

Fingers crossed he will have a restful night and feeling better in the morning.
Needless to say a rough night for baby = a rough night for mom and dad!
I can hear my bed calling good night friends! Its almost the weekend!
WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!

Landons First Hair cut!!

Landon was blessed with a head full head of hair, like mine and his dads its thick and unmanageable. Before Landon was born, I told Jon that I wanted Landon to have Justin Bieber hair, or a surfer boy look. Silly I know!! I was determined to let his hair grow, unfortunately Landon's hair wasn't growing quite like I wanted, it was more Mullet like, shorter in the front and party in the back. Yeah well I'm not that big of a fan.... to say the least!!! LOL!!! I tried to hold off as long as I could!!

Lucky me I now have a stylist in the family! My sister  just graduated from beauty school. I cant tell you how proud I am of her! She is so beautiful and so talented! I still haven't gotten the nerve to let her do my hair, it scares me just a little!! But New years day I let my her have the honors of giving Landon his first hair cut! I know I'm awful, not trusting her with my hair, but giving her free reign of Landon's.

It was so long!

Poor Lyndsie, I know she had to be exhausted by the time she was done with Landon's cut. He sat on my lap and we tried our best to keep him distracted with puffs and juice, it worked for a little while, but a 1 year old can only be distracted for so long, he stared turning his head, trying to get down, and poor Lyndsie was so patient and did the best job she could! It turned out Great! It was a little heart breaking watching his little curls fall to the ground, just knowing that, that was the hair he was born with.

It is becoming so much harder to get a good picture of him! Big Cheese and big boy hair!

Looking back I think I miss his longer hair. He just looks like a little man now. I don't like him growing up this fast! I think that this hair cut brought to reality that he is!! Yikes! Hes the love of my life!!!

Some Randomness and Goals for 2011!!

Soo....  Ive  been out of the blogging loop for the last 2 weeks and I feel like I have missed so much! I did do a few posts and got to visit some of my favorites! But I'm back, and ready for the new year with you guys!!

We have been so busy, with family in town , Christmas and New Years and a nasty yucky stomach bug. Its actually going to be nice to get back into routine, well except work, that is one routine that I could go without forever! I spent most of the weekend  cleaning , that's one bug that doesn't bite often, so I thought while Ive been bitten I better work. I was surprised by how much I was able to get  done with Landon. I got all the decorations put away, all or gifts put up, organized my closest , Landon's room, and just cleaned.  It makes me feel so much better when my house is clean. I feel so overwhelmed and blah when my house is a mess, which is 95% of the time. For now we are clean and ready for the new year!

Duh!! I had to throw in a picture of my lil man! New Years day!

We spent New Years day with my family, we had the traditional new years dinner! Pork, Greens and black eyed peas! I usually despise greens, but this year they were so yummy, I even went back for seconds,  My fingers are crossed that all those greens will pay off for us in 2011!! HAHA!!

One of My good blog friends Lynzi at Lil Mrs Housewife ( She is so sweet, upbeat and positive!! Go visit her!! I love her!)  had a really neat Resolution/goal thingy for 2011, I just had to borrow it from her, I know I'm a few days late but, I'm thinking that having it written out will be the constant reminder I need!!

Resolution/Goals For 2011

One thing I will learn:   I'm with Lynzi and this one, I want to learn my SLR!!

One place I will go: We are taking a family trips with our friends to Williamsburg VA in February, I'm excited, it will be our first family trip with friends! Maybe the start of a new tradition!

One physical habit I will break: Eating just to be eating! why in the world am I eating if I'm not hungry!!??

One physical habit I will cultivate: Taking care of myself, Fixing my hair more often and dressing up more often, things like that!

One mental habit I will break: Beating my self up, yeah I'm flawed, so is everyone else!!!

One relationship I’ll repair: At  this point in my life I am content with my friendships, any relationships that have ended, have been for the best!

One work habit I will change: BLAH!! I have a great job, and know that I am lucky to even have a job, but I just want to be at home with Landon! I know I didn't answer this question!

One thing I’ll throw out: One thing?? There are so many things that I need to throw out, my husband is so patient with me, when it come to this, I have the hardest time getting rid of things, but I really need to start!

A second thing I’ll throw out: See above!

One thing I’ll eat more often: Vegetables.

One thing I’ll eat less of: Fast Food!

One thing I’ll drink more: Water!!!!

One thing I’ll drink less: Diet Mt. Dew!

One resentment I’ll get over: Well........ I have a few and it would take forever to explain them, so I will spare you the long story and just work on getting over them!!

One person I’ll treat more respectfully: My sweet husband, he works so hard for us, and has really sacrificed a lot for our little family. He deserves to be treated with a lot more respect then I tend to give him!

One thing I’ll spend less money on:  Eating out or take out!

One other change I’ll make in my finances: We really want to try and get some things paid off this year! We are going to work hard to do that!

One thing I’ll spend less time doing: Worrying about things I cant Change!

And a thing I’ll spend more time doing: Working out (Zumba), Taking care of my family, Blogging!

So with the new start of 2011, my fingers are crossed that I will be able to accomplish most of this list! Happy Monday Friends!!! Its Bachelor night!!!
