Loooong weekend, how I loved theeeee!!!!

Sooooo You know the Lazy Song By Bruno Mars!?  Yeah,  Well I adopted it has My Weekend Theme song. Instead of just one day, I made it 3!! 3 lovely days of no agenda, Just all about doing what I wanted and having fun, with my boys of course!! Just in case you haven't heard, here ya go!!!

Saturday Landon and I went to visit my mom, It was an unexpected visit and we got there just in time. She was on her way out, with a friend of hers,  to Go pick strawberry's. At first I didn't want to go I just figured that it would be waaaay to difficult to manage Landon, and I just wasn't up taming a wild monkey; But she talked me into and We had soooooooooooo much fun! I Myself have never been to a strawberry farm to pick my own strawberry's, I cant wait to do it again! Since I didn't know we were going, neither Landon or I were dressed to play in the mud. Lets just say the outfit that Landon had on, that he had never worn is completely ruined! If you have never been, I suggest going, go early during the day and don't wear good clothes!! Then It was on to a cook out at Burchettes house, where the boys had a pool an sprinkler party! Landon was not a very happy camper!  But we still had fun laughing and playing!

Sunday was another lazy day!! I did something I haven't done in a LLLLLLOOOOOONG time!!! I went shopping alone!!! I had a date with TJ Max, and we had soooo much fun! 2 hours of me time, un-rushed, It was Lovely!!  Sunday night we had a memorial day Cookout At my parents house, were all the sudden I found myself agreeing to Landon's head being buzzed WHAT!???  All of my pretty curls, all that thick blond hair! Gone!! He looks like a different little boy and soooo much more mischievous!! SOOO handsome!! Mommy Got a new look and so did Lil man!!!!

Monday It was back to my moms, for some Fun in the sun, in the Pool!!! We literally did nothing, but lay out by the pool, laughed with friends and family and ate TONS and TONS of Junk! It was a beautiful HOT day!! It seems that I was soooooo stinking lazy that I forgot to take pictures!! UH-OH

Hair Affair!!

 I Have NEVER been happy with My hair! Growing up I had LOOOOONG naturally curly, uncontrollable frizzy hair!! Yikes!!! I had no Idea how to manage it, before I knew hair products existed. I was helpless in the hair department!!!

Then along came Hair Gel (wooooohoooo) Then my Hair had a new meaning, long sleek wet looking curls the wetter it looked the better! Yeah Right!!  I did always get complements on it but, I wanted beautiful long straight hair, and I wanted it to be blond!!! In the 8th grade I got my wish, My mom let me highlight my hair! I remember how excited I was, I was finally going to be a blond. OMG my hair dresser had NO idea what she was doing!!! I was like.... white bleach blond, no highlights, I was blond, and I looked horrible. I was sooo embarrassed to go to school. Thank Goodness there were only 2 days of  left, till summer vacation!

The older I got the braver I got with my hair. I was always looking for a change. I wasn't in a committed relationship with my hair!  The next few major hair happenings, were in college. Once I went red! NOOOOO red is NOT a good color for me, It was awful  and made me looks washed out and sick. OOOOOHHH what a relief when it grew out. Next I let a dear sweet friend talk me into coloring my hair. whelp the color was suppose to be dark drown....... yeah it ended up black, jet black. Again it was AWFUL. I cried and cried!!

Since then I have had several hair changes, length color, you name it Ive tried it! I have mentioned before that my sister just recently started doing hair. I'm crazy excited, Ive always wanted a my own personal stylist and now I finally have one!!!! So This week, I let my sister talk me into another crazy hair Idea! My hair is now a very dark brown with blue peek a boos!! I cant tell you how nervous I was, But she did an AWESOME Job, Although the color is almost black, it looks great!!!  ( Ill share a picture as soon as I get a suitable one to share!! ( I'm super picky) I think this may be my favorite cut and color EVER!!!

Anyway change is always good! Makes life less boring!! So have you had any hair flops or regrets??! I hope you all have an amazing memorial day weekend!

Theses days every where you look, there is inspiration. Watching the news, I cant help but be thankful and inspired by the people who are able to pick up the pieces and move on after disaster. There has been  sooo much heart ache lately. Watching these poor ,helpless people loose everything that they have worked years for, just to loose it in one swoop of a nasty storm, to me is unimaginable.  How can we not be inspired??

 But I'm not going to go down that road today (even though I kinda already did) I going to  be a little more light hearted! I'm going to tell you a little bit about one of my new best Friend!!! Meet My Camera!

 Isn't she lovely!??  She has been sooo Good to me! She as became a huge inspiration and I try my best not to leave home with out her! I love  that she lets me capture memories that would more then likely be forgotten. I love that she sees things so clearly! I'm sooooo Thankful that she has that awesome  little delete button, because you  better believe that 95% of pictures of me go straight to that little trash can!! LOL!!! Ive still got soooo much more to learn about her, she has so many buttons, and I'm sad to say that her manual looks like a foreign language to me! But she Inspires me to learn and to capture beautiful memories that can never be forgotten!

Moments Like this!!! Pricless!! Falling asleep with tons of children screaming on the play ground!! Now a moment that Ill  remember forever!

8 Years!

I cant believe that, 8 years ago today,  Jon and I were preparing to become one. Mr and Mrs Jon Mitchell. I can remember almost every detail of that day, It was almost as if  I was  having an out of  body experience.It was all so surreal to me, I couldn't believe that one of the biggest days of my life was happening. I was getting Married!

Jon and I have been apart of each others lives for 17 years. We were so young when we met. God crossed our paths so early on, and lead us both in the direction to each other. We were 12 years old, so Young and still so naive. Jon insists that he knew the moment he saw me that I was going to be his forever!  I cant imagine my world with out him.  Hes everything That I could have ever dreamed of ! He passionate about his family, hes loyal and honest, hes smart and so talented, I get so jealous because almost everything he does hes good at, I have never seen him give up, and he rarely lets himself fail. I cant imagine a better roll model for our son.

I Love that man today more then I did the day we got married.God has given us the beautiful gift, of partnership, friendship and LOVE! What a fun journey we have been on, what an amazing journey we have ahead of us! <3
