Dear Landon,

You amaze me! It’s impossible not to smile when your around, your whole face just lights up, that big toothy smile melts my heart! Its so Hard to believe that You will be 20 months old on Saturday!

Your dad and I can not get enough of you, we are constantly telling you how much you are loved, I'm pretty sure you get annoyed by all the loving I give you! I'm constantly covering you in kisses, but  you never want to return them. You shock me when you decide  to give me one back. Your don’t have time ,your on the GOOOOOOOOO all the time!!!

Your vocabulary is becoming ridiculous! Your dad and I just stop and look at one another when we hear new words come out of your mouth! With our help you can already count to ten,  and sing part of your ABC's . Some of your favorite words are Mommy, Daddy, Oh Man, Sit (which sounds a lot like another word)  Outside, Shoe, Mickey, Just to name a few! Everyday its something new! You LOVE to sing and dance, we often have living room dance party's, which are actually pretty fun and a really good work out for your out of shape mommy! You have recently Got into books, You are constantly bringing us a one, and you will sit still for the first few pages and then your off on a new adventure!!!

This Summer has been full of new and exciting things!! Beach trips and boat rides and lots and lots of pool time!!!  We just recently switched you from you crib to your toddler bed!!! Ohhhh that new found freedom, which you have actually done really good with, nap time is pretty difficult but at bed time you are so worn out from the day, that you sleep like a rock! I really just cant believe how fast you are growing!

Your so tall and so Handsome! I love you more then I ever thought was possible. How in the world did I get so lucky!  I love you so much Landon Cole!!

Missing him!

Jon and I have been apart before, a day here and there, and I hate it so much!

He left last night for the Most AWESOME youth camp in the World, its Called Big Stuf, Its held in Panama City Beach Florida! its AMAZING!!!!!!  The energy and Worship is soooo intense 5 looooong hot days of worshiping God with thousands of other people, with a beautiful beach back drop, it really doesn't get much better!

Big Stuf! Check it out!!! AWESOME STUFFFFF!!!! 

I'm sooooo stinking heart broken that I'm not there this year. My  manager wouldn't let me have this Friday off! WHAT???? No I cant come back a day early! I'm even more sad that Jon's gone, for 5 LOOOOOOOONG days! AWWWWW...... I have been on the verge of tears all day, I had no Idea it would be  this hard for me!!! Geeeeeezzzzz Heather, he'll be back and its  not like you can't call, text and tweet each other 24/7!!!!

Absence make the heart grow fonder right!? He hasn't even been gone a day and I feel like its been a year! I was talking to Christina today, about all of this, and I came to a conclusion that God  is teaching me something here, and I just have to be open and ready for the lesson. The best part of it all is I get lots and lots and lots of Landon and mommy time!!!

Awwwwwwhhhhh. I'm like this little love sick puppy or high school girl!!!! Silly silly!!!

 Dear Landon,

Today I was blog reading and I came to a blog that  inspired me to make a list of  everything I love about you, and this is the perfect way to mark your 17 month Milestones!!  I can assure you  that this is only the being of the a list of a million!!!!

• I love it When you use me as your tissue : /
• I love when you reach to hold  my hand!

• I love it when you laugh uncontrollably, your giggle is contagious!

You weigh 25 pounds and are 34 inches tall!!! You look so much older then 17 months , you have the sweetest most handsome face!! You were 18 month shirts and pants, and a size 5 diaper!

Your vocabulary is growing so fast, you  can now say Ball, cracker, Dad, Mom, Juice, cheese, car, bye, hey, mickey, cat, dog, Jd, Max, outside, Yes, Tad-aha, shoes, cookie, No, oh no, oh man, oh my, milk, cow chicken, monkey, sit, banana , Yummmm, and you try and count to 3 but it sounds something like this umm,ooou, eeeee.

Food you Love: Strawberry's, bananas, sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese, Cheese, Spaghetti, plain pasta, pinto beans, waffles, chicken nuggets, tuna, eggs, rice,

Food you hate: carrots, mashed potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, any thing spicy,

You amaze me at the things you can do, your growing up so fast and your so smart! Landon Cole Mitchell, I love who I am because if you. I never in my life imagined that I could love something so much!!! I Love you!

 Your Dad and I met what seems like  only yesterday, but really it was 17 years ago!! We were only 12 years old, we were young!! We hit it off instantly, we fast became best friends. We went to rival middle schools and High schools, but managed to see each other just about every weekend. I was pretty boy crazy in those days, and your dad was crazy about me. He would call me just about everyday and ask me to be in girlfriend, but his timing was always off! Your dad was very prescient ! I bet that’s why you NEVER take NO for an answer!!!

It wasn’t until 2 years later, That I saw your dad differently, we were still so young only 15. I remember that day so vividly, he was standing at the concession stand at the baseball field, in his cute little baseball uniform. I walked up to him and asked for a hug, that moment, that hug changed everything and started  our life down a path God had planed for us! I knew that, that hug was different I knew I wanted your dad to be mine!!!  BUT this time it was me that had bad timing,  this time your dad had a girlfriend and she was my friend. Of course I couldn’t let a boy come between a friendship, so I asked your dad to call me when they broke up!! HAHA!!! He dad called me the next day!!!! Boy that was FAST huh? I remember the day he asked me to be his girlfriend May 7^Th 1997. From that day forward Landon, your dad and I have been inseparable. Birthdays , Proms, Christmas, Death's and Heartache you name it we have been through it! Not many people are lucky enough to marry there soul mate Landon, But I was!

I hope that someday you know a love like your dad and mine. I hope a sweet little girl comes and captures your heart and holds it and protects it tight. You my sweet baby boy are someones knight in shining armor. Just like your dad is mine!

My Heart Melted!

Today has been an emotional day for me. It seemed to be the domino effect kind of day. Were one thing falls, and then the next and then the next, till at the very end, its almost impossible to get back up!

No worries I'm fine. Its mainly my job, things are changing and I use to be soo good with change, but I'm finding it harder and harder to adapt . Maybe it's cause I'm getting older, or maybe its because I now have a voice with opinions, but I have to remain silenced because I really need this job. I have learned today that I have to change, or Ill be looking at a dead end road with no job.

Tonight I was sitting on the floor playing with Landon, he brought me a book,  he got a little excited when I was reading to him. He jerked the book from my hands and slung it back, hitting me in the eye. It HURT!!!! It was the kind of hurt were you really want to cry, but think you'll be silly if you do. Well folks, I cried, and I couldn't stop. The whole day came crashing down on me in that moment. Landon just looked at me, crawled in my lap and hugged me tight, he put his little head on my shoulder and on my chest and just let me hold him. He was so still and quite. My heart melted! He knew I needed the comfort. I can not put into words how that moment made me feel,  I never want to forget it EVER! Thank you sweet Landon!

Jon,

I love you, I love everything about you. I love the Husband you are and the Father you have became. I love your kindness and loyalty, I love your compassion for everyone. I love your Passion for God. I love you for who you are and who you will become.

I'm so thankful That I was chosen to be your forever. That God had me in mind when he made you. That he entrusted me to hold and protect your heart! I am forever thankful.

So many years have gone by. Our love has endured  many laughs and heart aches.  You have held me up and kept me from falling when all I wanted was  fall. You wont let me give up  your grip is to Strong! You continue to make me feel beautiful, and important. Your strength amazes me, and  your ability to keep going no matter how tough . Smiles and tears have only made us stronger and only made our love unbreakable.

He Has My Heart Forever!!!

Jon and I have been together for almost 15 years that's half of my life.
We met when we were 12 and we played a cat a mouse game for a looong time. Jon was relentless, and I was playing hard to get! Until one day I finally saw him differently, it definitely  helped that he was in his cute little baseball uniform. LOL.  I remember the day that I said Yes , YES Jon I will be your  girl friend, It was May 7 1997. From that day forward we were inseparable.  You rarely saw one of us with out the other.

2007, The winter we bought our first house!

We have been through so much  together,  We have grown up together. We got our drivers licenses, we went to proms, we have been through the divorce of his parents , first jobs, and heart aches, he was with me when I thought my family was falling apart, We graduated high school and college together and Family vacations. He was by my side when I said goodbye to my Grand father (my best friend) Hes been amazing, hes been my glue, my rock.

Dude My hair was long, I <3 him!

 What makes it even better is that I know God made him just for me, He gave me this beautiful relationship to love and Cherish and to nurture and grow. I don't Thank God enough for giving me this man.

 5 year Wedding anniversary!

 Lately I have not been the best wife, he  deserves  soooo much better. I have been snappy, ill, short, tempered, and sometimes just plan ole mean. Why? I really cant explain, hes done nothing wrong. He works hard and sacrifices so much for our family. Maybe its lack of sleep or that lots of my time and energy go to a tiny little man. Maybe its stress from work, or crazy bills. None of these I know are are good enough excuses. I'm so THANKFUL for this man.

I would Love to do something spacial for Jon, something out of the ordinary,  and that doesn't cost and arm and a leg.  Something that will show him how much he means to me and That I'm still as much in love with him today as the day we said I do!
