I'm a medical assistant at a local cancer center. I work with the medical oncologists, So basically a patient comes to us to hear there diagnosis and get and understand their treatment plans.
Unfortunately I watch lives change with just a few words everyday. Young, old, rich and poor. Every race an nationality.Cancer doesn't discriminate. Some wonder how they are going to afford treatment, Some simply can't. Some people give up before they have started. I am always amazed at the strength, and courage some show. For lack of better words, some of these people are handed a death sentence and they muster up the strength to smile ,and to encourage me. What an inspiration. They help me to realize that life is so much more then the small stuff and that time is one of our most beautiful possessions! Cancer Can definitely knock a person down, but we can refuse to let it keep us down!!!
Cancer is so limited...
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the Spirit.
